Not only does that resonate with my idea of what a hacker
is but now I also have the full blast of philosophy, Kant
and Kierkegaard to justify any criticism of my admitedly
inadequate institutional profile: “I’m a hacker because
according to Kierkegaard I have a special sense of aesthetics
in what regards technology”. That should keep the ad hominem
attack makers busy for a while…

O SAPO faz 12 anos…. O tempo que ja la vai…

Nunca fui grande utilizador. Da vida do SAPO recordo,
para alem do seu nascimento na Universidade de Aveiro
(onde me ligam as raizes maternas), os tempos conturbados
de 96 ou 97, depois de o Celso, o Cooker, o Benjamin e
outros terem tido a coragem de sair do meio academico e
terem criado a empresa Navegante.
Na altura, num dos primeiros conselhos de administracao
da Esoterica, chegou-se a falar na compra do SAPO a
Navegante. Numa fortuita conversa com o Cooker soube que
50 mil contos faziam a festa e comuniquei a minha opiniao
de que valia a pena investir. Nada feito, estava a falar
para a parede. O resto e historia. Foi uma das razoes que
me levaram a sair, com a ideia de criar um portal para
concorrer com o SAPO. Infelizmente (ou nao), nao chegamos
a lancar o projecto, cujo codigo foi comprado pelo Grupo
Forum para aplicar no portal Netc da Telecel.
E a brincar foram-se 10 anos… Ao que um homem chega…
Mas falemos do presente: queremos e saber que grande evento
e que o SAPO anda a preparar, contou-me um passarinho. Eu se
fosse hacker nao marcava nada na agenda para a 2a semana de
Novembro….
