“Economic progress, in capitalist society, means turmoil” [1]

“Entrepreneurs seek profits by introducing new goods, services,
organizations, and techniques. In doing so, they advance the
economic welfare of society. At the same time, their activities
are profoundly disturbing. Entrepreneurs are, after all, the
agents of “creative destruction”, as Joseph Schumpeter so aptly
labeled the processes of change they set in motion; their
successes invariably upset existing social arrangements,
transferring wealth and power from old to new sectors of the
economy.
It is for that reason, throughout most of history, that expansive
empires and local tribe cultures alike have tried to curb
entrepreneurial bahavior with political restraints and social
taboos, lest it upset the status quo. Modern capitalist societies
depend utterly on entrepreneurship for their progress; but they
too remain ambivalent about its effects. Even in the USA, where
entrepreneurship is widely valued, vested interests have always
risen up to protest, and otherwise resist, the social and
economic changes that entrepreneurship has brought about.”

Its been one hell of a week. New startup, back on stage,
a couple of blank nights, mentoring entrepreneurs and 4
great all-included meals. Slept 12 hours and spent the
day with all the family. Next year might be the one to
go and book the Hard Rock Cafe; who knows, I might find
the answer to life, the Universe and everything…

Shine on you crazy diamond.
Now there’s a look in your eyes, like black holes in the sky.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
You were caught on the cross fire of childhood and stardom,
Blown on the steel breeze.
Come on you target for faraway laughter, come on you stranger,
You legend, you martyr, and shine!

You reached for the secret too soon, you cried for the moon.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Treatened by shadows at night, and exposed in the light.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Well you wore out your welcome with random precision,
Rode on the steel breeze.
Come on you raver, you seer of visions, come on you painter,
You piper, you prisoner, and shine!

Nobody knows where you are, how near or how far.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
Pile on many more layers and i’ll be joining you there.
Shine on you crazy diamond.
And we’ll bask in the shadow of yesterday’s triumph,
And sail on the steel breeze.
Come on you boy child, you winner and loser,
Come on you miner for truth and delusion, and shine!

1913 – Governo Americano cria a Federal Reserve; o Fed
1929 – Crash bolsista; Grande Depressao

Guerra Mundial (Bretton Woods).
1973 – O sistema Bretton Woods colapsa; Crash bolsista.

1981 – Governos acham giro apanhar a onda dos mercados
de accoes e resolvem privatizar empresas publicas;
adicionalmente criam facilidades para incentivar a
compra dessas accoes. Resultado: o bull market dos
anos 80 (bubble)
1987 – Crash bolsista; Black Monday

1994 – Governos acham giro a moda da Internet. O Al Gore
Resultado: bolha bolsista (dotcom bubble)
2000 – Crash bolsista; dotcom bubble burst

ordenam aos bancos estatais (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac,
CGD, CPP) para que facilitem o credito. Resultado: a
bolha do imobiliario/realestate e dos subprime.
2008 – Crash bolsista

2010 – ??

Do you get the picture morons?

PS. Se o desenho nao foi suficiente:
2010/2012 – Resultado: bolha das energias renovaveis.
2012/2014 – Crash bolsista
