More MyDocs Archaeology

On keeping up on my digital stuff clean up (or at least
trying to), here’s some more stuff that I found on some
backup CDs and that I either forgot to post before or
had promised to post:

– more of the pics that Luis Sequeira wanted to be kept hidden

http://mv.asterisco.pt/Files/arqueologia/cabos.jpg
http://mv.asterisco.pt/Files/arqueologia/maquinas.jpg

(more early Esoterica stuff; of notice: the datacenter cooling system)

– further proof that I invented YouTube *and* blogs/web 2.0

http://mv.asterisco.pt/Files/arqueologia/proj5.JPG
http://mv.asterisco.pt/Files/arqueologia/proj6.JPG

(part of a Powerpoint presentation to a local telecomm operator)

– Taboo, one of my brother’s defunct musical projects, playing “No Teu Poema”,
best cover *evar*

http://mv.asterisco.pt/Files/arqueologia/Taboo%20-%20No%20Teu%20Poema.mp3
http://www.nuggyland.com/taboo/taboo1.jpg
http://osdiasuteis.blogspot.com/2005/04/provavelmente.html

+ “No Teu Poema” is a cover of a fado song; the last link is for
the lyrics/poem
+ on the photo, from the left:
Luis Fernando, guitar; Rui Fingers, guitar; Ricardo, vocals; Nuggy, my
brother, bass; Joao, drums
+ warning: heavy metal version; play it loud; may hurt your conservative
left susceptibilities
+ sound quality is deliberately low (32kbps), due to rights issues

Underrated Bands and Songs from the 70s

Not that its my favorite decade for music (and actually a lot
of crap came out of it, namely disco and punk), but the 70s do
have lots of good bands and songs.

There are nonetheless some bands who created great stuff and
are not known by most people. They recognize the songs usually
because they’ve heard a cover version. Here are 3 of them…

T-Rex – Bang a Gong (Get It On)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oGcfwKN5jY
(cover version by Powerstation: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZUc629OcQPo )

Slade – Mama weer all crazee now
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0gPulu85q04
(cover version by Quiet Riot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubZjbmA1Id0 )

The Sweet – Ballroom Blitz
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrBDivsSe3k
(cover version by Krokus: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEnE5DHrJkE )
(cover version by Tia Carrere: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8XEKBkfE5c )

“agora o forum vai ser desenvolvido uma area para ensinar a
fazer homebrew, a PSP-NEWS quer ter bons desenvolvidores e
esta a espera de registos, quem quiser pode-se iscrever”

http://psp-news.blogs.sapo.pt/56482.html

Deixa ca ver:

1,2) “o forum vai ser desenvolvido uma area” (“no forum/desenvolvida uma area”)
3) “desenvolvidores” (“desenvolvedores/programadores”)
4) “a” (“a”)
5) “pode-se” (“pode inscrever-se”)
6) “iscrever” (“inscrever”)

6 chancadas de uma vez so…

Nao sei… talvez se pudesse arranjar um proxy que fizesse
spellcheck e bloqueava o acesso a todas as paginas com erros…
Ou entao podia sair uma lei para proibir o acesso a esses
browsers…
