7 years ago Patrick and me started having monthly
dinners, gathering just a bunch of entrepreneurs
and founders.

You’d think that people would be interested in
being around likeminded people and exchange ideas.
In particular when, as is the case of Patrick,
you can trade ideas with someone who actually has
been in a “for real Silicon Valley startup with IPO”.

Number of people attending? Seven. Number of portuguese
people? Two. Number of foreigners? Five.
So much for portuguese entrepreneurship and networking…
Me and Patrick are going to rethink the event and
probably not organize it anymore. Both of us have more to
do than try and fight against windmills. On the other
hand, we might make it commercial; by invitation only and
charge 200 or 500 Euro per person. Not sure if we’d get
for-real entrepreneurs, but wannabes would be knocking at
our door, even if it was just for the chance of getting
a job…
