Godel, Escher and Bach: An Eternal Golden Braid
Back in 1986, at 18 years old, I read this wonderful huge book http://www.amazon.co.uk/Godel-Escher-Bach-Eternal-philosophy/dp/0140179976/ref=sr_1_4 all through the Summer. I would take the book to read at the beach, thinking that not only would that give me more time to read but also it might also impress the ladies. It didnt; geek delusions.
So, today, I’m having a great time watching the “Godel Escher and Bach – A Mental Space Odyssey” MIT lectures http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jFhq3Rj6DI (not for the faint of heart; logic and math stuff included)
